Gabor Turschl leads Alphabet's SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting group.  His team is responsible for developing and maintaining the Company's global accounting policies (US GAAP and IFRS) and working with product and internal groups across Alphabet to determine the accounting and business implications of new and emerging transactions for all areas including revenue recognition, expense recognition, intellectual property and patents, real estate, inventories, and various other accounting matters. His team is also responsible for the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual financial statements with the SEC.

Additionally, Gabor’s team monitors ongoing accounting pronouncements and developments issued by the FASB, IASB, and SEC and works with the regulatory authorities to provide stakeholder feedback.

Gabor’s current projects include leading the implementation of the new revenue recognition standard and he also leads technical accounting trainings for Alphabet’s Finance organization.

Prior to his current role, he was a Senior Manager with PwC’s audit practice in San Jose, CA focusing on software and internet clients.
