Fredric L. Altschuler

Fredric L. Altschuler is currently a senior counsel (after being a partner for more than two decades) in the international law firm of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, resident in its New York City office. He is an experienced commercial real estate attorney concentrating in mortgage financing (including commercial mortgage securitizations), acquisitions and dispositions, leasing and ground leasing, joint ventures and other equity investments, workouts and foreclosures. He has served as counsel to commercial banks, investment banks, insurance companies, opportunity funds, pension funds and their advisors, governmental authorities, developers, institutional owners and investors. Mr. Altschuler is a member of the American Bar Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. He is a frequent lecturer on real estate finance and securitization matters. Mr. Altschuler received his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law.
