Frederick Troncone

Frederick Troncone is an Acting Chief within the Case Resolution Division of the Department of Homeland Security, Office of the Citizenship and Immigration Services.  In this capacity, he manages of professional staff of Immigration Law Analysts and Case Resolution Specialists who review case problems submitted by individuals and employers seeking assistance with immigration benefits petitions or applications filed with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Troncone joined the Ombudsman’s Office in 2008, where he previously served as Senior Advisor to the Ombudsman on employment affairs, and as a Senior Immigration Law Analyst.  Prior to joining DHS, Troncone practiced immigration law, as well as labor and employment law, in the private sector in Washington, DC and Hawaii.  While in Hawaii, Troncone served a term as the Chair of the American Immigration Lawyer Association’s Hawaii Chapter. He began his legal career as an Attorney-Advisor to the General Counsel of the National Labor Relations Board, where he practiced from 1983 to 1988 in the Division of Enforcement Litigation, Office of Appeals.  Troncone earned his Juris Doctorate at  University of Toledo, College of Law, and Baccalaureate Degree at Penn State University.
