Eve V. Sopko is a Director in KPMG LLP’s Compensation and Benefits practice in Boston, Massachusetts. She is a CPA and has spent more than 20 years assisting clients with regulatory, tax, and administration issues associated with executive compensation programs and employee benefit plans.

As a member of KPMG’s Compensation and Benefits practice she advises clients regarding non-qualified retirement plans, executive compensation arrangements (employment, retention, severance, change in control), fringe benefit arrangements (travel and business expense reimbursement arrangements), as well as equity compensation programs. She also works with KPMG’s audit and tax groups to assess the impact of compensation and benefit issues on financial statements and tax returns, including exposure items under ASC 740 and ASC 450.  Eve has extensive merger and acquisition experience, including assisting both strategic and financial clients in assessing and quantifying the compensation and benefit tax issues arising in corporate transactions. She has served as the project manager or advisor on numerous golden parachute engagements, involving both privately held and publicly traded companies (Fortune 10 to Fortune 1000 organizations).
