Eric Chun is a Principal in Ernst & Young LLP’s International Tax Services practice.He is based in New York.

As a member of the Financial Services Office, Eric works with banks, insurance companies, and asset managers in the areas of outbound and inbound US taxation, derivatives and capital markets transactions.

Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Eric worked in investment banking for seven years.He structured complex transactions across different asset classes for banks and their clients.Earlier in his career, he was a tax lawyer at a New York law firm.

Eric received a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University, a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School, where he was Managing Editor of the Columbia Law Review, and an LL.M-Tax from New York University School of Law.He is a frequent speaker at Ernst & Young client seminars, as well as for various professional organizations, including the Wall Street Tax Association, International Bar Association, Institute of International Bankers and Committee of Banking Institutions on Taxation.
