Eric Corngold is the Executive Deputy Attorney General for Economic Justice in the Office of the New York Attorney General.  Prior to joining the Attorney General's Office in January 2007, Mr. Corngold held several positions in the office of the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York including Chief of that office’s Business and Securities Frauds Unit; most recently he was the Chief Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of New York.

 In May 2003, Mr. Corngold was awarded the Henry L. Stimson Medal for outstanding contribution to the Office of the United States Attorney by the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Mr. Corngold is a graduate of the Yale Law School where he was a senior editor of the Yale Law Journal.  He was formerly a law clerk to the Honorable Charles P. Sifton, District Court Judge, Eastern District of New York.  He is currently an adjunct professor at St. John's University School of Law.
