Eric Froman is the Deputy Assistant General Counsel for the Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC) at the U.S. Treasury Department. In that capacity, he serves as the primary legal counsel to Treasury staff who support the FSOC, and he coordinates interagency legal support for all aspects of the FSOC’s activities. He also advises Treasury officials on other aspects of financial regulatory reform, including the Dodd-Frank Act.

Prior to joining the Treasury Department in March 2011, Eric was an attorney at the law firm Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, where he advised a range of clients on capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and financial regulatory matters. He previously worked as an attorney at the law firm Allen & Overy LLP, where his practice focused on bankruptcy and litigation.

Eric earned a J.D. from Columbia Law School and a B.A. from Tufts University.
