Ellyn S. Roth, Esq. has been a FINRA arbitrator since 2003, first in Pittsburgh, and now in New York City.  She has served as Chairperson on some of FINRA’s most complicated and highest-award cases.  From 1984-2000, Ms. Roth was an assistant general counsel at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, in Washington, D.C. There her expertise was in the regulation of derivatives and other financial instruments.  Prior to that, Ms. Roth was an assistant solicitor at the Economic Regulatory Administration, at the Department of Energy, a special task force mandated to enforce compliance by the major oil companies with the Federal energy pricing and allocation regulations.  Ms. Roth has three grown children and spends a lot of time traveling with her husband.
