Ms. Giblin is a privacy officer at the Boston Children’s Hospital & Foundations. Ms. Giblin provides legal and compliance advice and guidance in all aspects of privacy law, data protection, data security, cybersecurity and data breach response laws including compliance with GLBA, HIPAA, state data breach and data security laws. Ellen continues to be an expert in records management, risk management, vendor management, background checks under the FCRA and laws relating to monitoring employees in digital workplaces. In addition, she possesses a senior risk management, records management, data classification and mapping, information protection, and data breach analysis and response background and extensive US, Canadian, EU compliance and contract negotiation experience. As the founder and moderator of PrivacyHub, a LinkedIn Group established in 2008, Ms. Giblin has demonstrated her expertise in regulatory forecasting, upstream risk, data security, privacy and the effective use of social media to create a community of experts and academics available to collaborate on this dynamic and burgeoning discipline. 

Recently, Ellen has been honored with a Pell Center Cyber Leadership Fellowship and named an Adjunct Faculty Member of Salve Regina University.
