Edward Kohler is an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois and is currently a Deputy Chief of the Financial Crimes and Special Prosecutions Section of the United States Attorney’s Office in Chicago. Mr. Kohler is also the office coordinator for securities, commodities and other investment related prosecutions.

Prior to joining the United States Attorney’s Office, Mr. Kohler was an Enforcement Staff Attorney, Branch Chief and Senior Trial Counsel for the United States Securities and Exchange Commission in the Midwest Regional Office.

Mr. Kohler earned undergraduate and MBA degrees from the University of Illinois.

He received his law degree from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law.
