Edward Chang has been a federal prosecutor since 2000, first in the Southern District of New York and now in the District of Connecticut. He focuses on the prosecution of computer crimes, including computer intrusions, economic espionage, and Internet fraud. He has received the Attorney General’s Award for Distinguished Service in connection with the takedown of the Coreflood botnet and the Director’s Award for Superior Performance in connection with the extradition and prosecution of thirteen defendants for Internet phishing. He received a law degree from the Yale Law School and a Ph.D. in computer science from Stanford University, where he was a National Science Foundation fellow. He clerked for the Hon. Thomas J. Meskill, of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
