Donald W. Bakke

Donald W. Bakke is an attorney-advisor in the Office of Tax Legislative Counsel, U.S. Department of the Treasury Office of Tax Policy. In that capacity, working closely with the Internal Revenue Service, he develops and reviews administrative guidance relating to corporate tax and consolidated return matters. He also reviews legislative proposals in this area.  Prior to joining the Treasury Department in the fall of 2008, Don was a senior manager with Ernst & Young's Transaction Advisory Services Transaction Tax National M&A group, based in Washington, D.C. Don serves as an adjunct professor at George Washington University Law School where he teaches a course in corporate taxation. He received his LL.M. (Taxation) from Georgetown University Law Center and his J.D., cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law.
