Bunsow De Mory LLP

Redwood City, CA, USA

Denise De Mory is a leading patent litigator who has been named one of California’s “Top Women Litigators” by The Daily Journal from 2008-2010. For nineteen years, her emphasis has been on patent litigation in the electrical engineering and computer science fields. She handles cases in areas involving wireless handset and base station technology, WiFi and WiMax, semiconductor fabrication, circuit layout, circuit design software, database software, operating systems, medical devices and other complicated areas of technology. In addition to successfully handling cases in a wide range of technical disciplines, she is also a skilled trial lawyer and patent practitioner.

Ms. De Mory has significant trial experience, including a patent trial relating to cellular technology that resulted in a $61,250,000 verdict for her client. She has tried patent cases relating to semiconductor fabrication technology, a trademark case and several employment cases.

Ms. De Mory was also a member of the United States Department of Justice’s trial team, in the high-profile U.S. v. Microsoft antitrust litigation. Denise deposed executive-level Microsoft witnesses and the chief Internet Explorer architect, and offered one of the United States' technical expert witnesses at trial. She left a prominent litigation boutique to participate in the trial after being recruited by the DOJ specifically for her complex civil litigation expertise. It is Denise’s firm understanding of what matters at trial and what it takes to effectively communicate to a judge and to a jury – about any issue, ranging from the most complicated technical issue to an emotionally charged employment issue, that enables her to develop and pursue successful case strategies for her clients.
