Deborah S. Davidson is a partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP in Chicago, Illinois, and is co-chair of the firm’s ERISA/Employee Benefits Litigation practice group.  Between 2013 and 2015, Ms. Davidson served as the employer co-chair of the Employee Benefits Committee within the American Bar Association Section of Labor and Employment Law.  Ms. Davidson concentrates her practice on benefits litigation and litigation risk management and has represented plan sponsors, fiduciaries, and service providers in lawsuits across the country involving employer securities and employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), retirement plan investments, plan fees and expenses, church plans, plan provider claims, retiree medical benefits, early retirement programs, top-hat plans, alleged cutback or elimination of accrued benefits, claims to recover plan benefits, preemption issues, and a variety of other ERISA claims at the trial and appellate level.  She has also published and spoken extensively on ERISA litigation topics.  She been recognized nationally for ERISA litigation by Chambers and recognized by the Legal 500 for her skills, and in 2013 she was named one of Chicago’s “Rising Stars” by the National Law Journal.  Ms. Davidson was selected by the Illinois Diversity Council (ILDC) as one of its 2016 Leadership Excellence in the Law award recipients.
