Deborah Rimmler is Nexant's general counsel, responsible for the company's legal, procurement and ethics compliance programs.  She began her tenure with Nexant in 2001 as a consultant for World Bank and USAID-funded energy efficiency projects in Southeastern Europe before joining Nexant's in-house legal team.

Formed in 2000, Nexant is a globally recognized leader that provides innovative software and consulting services to utilities, energy, and chemical companies worldwide. With over 30 offices throughout the world, Nexant is able to provide strategic consulting, operational and technical expertise with deep sector and regional knowledge. Not only does Nexant offer extensive services in the areas of demand management, demand response, grid management, and renewables, it provides a comprehensive suite of software designed to support these areas’ initiatives. Nexant’s clients include utilities, Fortune 500 companies, transmission and distribution system operators, petroleum and chemical majors, financial institutions, government agencies, and development banks.

Prior to Nexant, Deborah was an attorney in the General Counsel's office of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) in Washington, D.C. While there, she became the director of business development for the Caspian Finance Center, a regional project office located in Ankara, Turkey combining the efforts of USTDA, the U.S. Export-Import Bank, and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation.

Ms. Rimmler has an LL.M. in international and comparative law from Georgetown University, a J.D. from Southwestern University, and a B.A. in political science from Boston College.
