Dawn A. Patterson is an Associate Director with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations for the Clearance and Settlement Examination Program. In this role, she is responsible for the oversight and the overall management of the national examination program for clearing agencies and transfer agents. Ms. Patterson has extensive experience in the operation and oversight of financial markets as a collaborative senior executive and Big Four consultant with more than 20+ years of experience. She came to the Commission in January 2011 from the U.S. Department of the Treasury where she was the Director of Compliance for the Office of Financial Stability.  During her career, Ms. Patterson has effectively designed, built, assessed, and / or managed organizations, processes, and internal controls for operations, technology, finance, compliance, internal audit, and risk management functions of highly regulated financial institutions. She graduated Fordham University, magna cum laude, with Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Computer Science.
