David Yawman currently serves as Senior Vice President, Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer for PepsiCo, Inc.  In this role, Mr. Yawman works with PepsiCo’s Board of Directors, CEO and senior executives on compliance and ethics issues, and he manages a global team of professionals that oversee compliance and ethics matters involving more than 270,000 PepsiCo employees conducting business in nearly 200 countries. 

Prior to assuming his current role in March 2012, Mr. Yawman spent two years as SVP, General Counsel of the Pepsi Beverages Company – PepsiCo’s beverages division in the United States and Canada with annual revenues of approximately $14 billion.  Prior to March 2010, Mr. Yawman served as Vice President, Associate General Counsel & Assistant Secretary of The Pepsi Bottling Group, Inc. (PBG), a publicly traded company with over $13 billion in annual revenues.  Prior to joining PBG in 2005, Mr. Yawman spent six years as a member of the corporate law department at PepsiCo, Inc. 

Before joining PepsiCo in 1998, Mr. Yawman was an associate with the law firm of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson and served as a law clerk in the United States District Court.  Mr. Yawman is an honors graduate of the Rutgers University School of Law (Newark) where he served as Managing Director of the Rutgers Law Review, and he holds a Bachelors Degree in American Studies from the University of Notre Dame.  

Mr. Yawman is active in community and pro bono legal work.  He and his wife, Margaret, reside in Sleepy Hollow, NY with their four children.
