Daniel R. Marcus is an Assistant Regional Director in the New York Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission, and a member of the Enforcement Division’s Market Abuse Unit.  During his tenure at the SEC, Dan has investigated, charged and litigated cases involving insider trading, manipulative short selling, unregistered foreign broker-dealers and violations of Regulation NMS. Prior to joining the Commission in 2008, he was a litigator in the New York office of Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, where he handled securities litigation and white collar criminal matters.  He is a graduate of Stanford Law School and Princeton University.
