Daniel W. Krane is a partner in the Corporate and Securities Group of Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP. Mr. Krane advises insurance and financial services clients on corporate, transactional and regulatory matters, business formations, mergers and acquisitions, holding company transactions, reinsurance, product design and distribution, regulatory examinations, compliance, internal investigations, and delinquency proceedings. Mr. Krane has particular experience advising insurance companies and their affiliates, including broker-dealers, agencies, advisors and mutual funds, in connection with structuring compliance program and related investigations. Mr. Krane graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 1981 and from Dickinson School of Law in 1985, where he was elected to the Order of the Barristers and served as an editor of the Dickinson Journal of International Law. He is a member of numerous bar associations and trade groups, and has presented before NAIC working groups on various topics. Recently, has served as an Adjunct Faculty Member at the Rutgers School of Law for an advanced insurance course. Mr. Krane has been active on committees and task forces involved with drafting insurance, financial services and healthcare laws, and frequently writes and lectures on these topics.
