Daniel is a Partner in Baker & McKenzie LLP's Employment Department in London.

Practice Description

Daniel advises on all aspects of employment law.  He has particular expertise in advising on the HR aspects of outsourcing agreements and other collective employment issues, including reorganisations, mergers & acquisitions and managing trade unions and works councils.

Representative Clients, Cases or Matters

Daniel advises clients in a range of industries, from start-ups to multi-national corporations, on both domestic and cross-border projects.  His clients come from a range of sectors, and include UK start-ups to multi-national corporations.  Representative clients include: Accenture; UnitedHealth Group; HP; Oracle Corporation; British Airways Plc; and Siemens.

Publications, Presentations and Articles

Daniel is a co-author of the chapters on outsourcing agreements and off-shoring for Sweet & Maxwell's leading UK text book on TUPE issues.  He regularly writes and speaks for other legal publications and industry seminars.  Daniel established a sub-committee of the National Outsourcing Association dedicated to discussing HR issues arising in outsourcings.  He is listed as a leading lawyer in Chambers & Partners 2013.

Professional Affiliations

Law Society of England and Wales; Member of the Executive Committee of the Industrial Law Society; and member of the Employment Lawyers Association. 


Daniel qualified in 1998.  Daniel has spent time on secondment to the Employment & Labor group of Baker & McKenzie’s Chicago office, to a major global investment bank, and is currently on secondment to Baker & McKenzie's Palo Alto office.

Education and Bar Admittance

Daniel graduated in law from Oxford University.
