Daniel Bushner has practiced US corporate and securities law in London for 30 years, advising companies, investment banks and regulators.  He is a frequent author and speaker on corporate and securities law cross border issues, most recently as author of the US chapter for the 5th Edition of Sweet&Maxwell’s standard textbook on corporate governance.   With more than 20 years as a partner in London, more recently Daniel served as interim deputy general counsel at Citi in London, first covering M&A and then Sanctions and AML for the EMEA region.

He has served as Chair of the American Bar Association’s International  Securities Matters Subcommittee of the Federal Regulation of Securities Committee, and also  earlier as  Co-Chair led  the American Bar Association’s International  Section’s  International Securities and Capital Markets Committee. Daniel was Secretary to the Board of the Equities Capital Markets Division of the Association of Financial Markets in Europe (“AFME”) from its inception until 2015.  Daniel has acted as judge in tribunals for enforcement proceedings, and has been consulted by regulators in the UK, Europe and the Middle East on the development of rulemaking.

Daniel speaks Russian as well as English, and is a graduate of Princeton, Oxford and Georgetown Universities.
