Mr. Kacedon is a partner at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner LLP, where his practice focuses on patent and technology licensing and patent litigation.  Mr. Kacedon assists clients in conducting market assessments for their patents, conducts licensing negotiations, drafts licensing agreements, and participates in related litigations. Over the course of his career, he has drafted hundreds of patent, know-how, and software license agreements in many industries, including pharmaceutical, medical device, and consumer electronics.  In addition, Mr. Kacedon has broad experience in all aspects of patent litigation.

A frequent presenter at workshops and conferences, Mr. Kacedon has lectured on drafting patent and know-how licenses for the Patent Resources Group, the Licensing Executives Society, as well as other organizations and is currently an Adjunct Professor at George Washington University Law School.  Mr. Kacedon is also co-author of a leading treatise, “Drafting Patent License Agreements.” In addition, he has been listed in Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) Magazine as one of 250 of the world's leading patent and technology licensing practitioners from 2010-2015.
