Cynthia M. Krus is the vice-chair of Sutherland's Corporate and Financial Services practices. Ms. Krus has been involved in numerous public and private securities offerings, and has advised clients in connection with a wide variety of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, proxy contests, exchange and rights offerings, going private transactions and corporate reorganizations. Cynthia regularly advises public and private companies and their directors and officers on a variety of compliance and corporate governance initiatives. 

Ms. Krus has developed a leading practice representing clients in connection with the establishment and operation of private and public equity funds, including small business investment companies (SBICs) and business development companies (BDCs). Ms. Krus also has extensive experience advising financial services companies in connection with regulatory compliance.

Ms. Krus has been an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University (where she taught a course on Corporate Governance) and at George Washington University (where she taught a course on mergers and acquisitions). Ms. Krus is the author of the Corporate Secretary's Answer Book published by Wolters Kluwer and an Advisory Board Member to TheCorporateCounsel.net.
