Craig S. Waldman is a partner in Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP’s Litigation Department.  His practice focuses on securities litigation including class and derivative actions in federal and state courts, M&A-related disputes involving both private equity and corporate clients, and claims arising out of financial frauds.  Craig has extensive trial experience and frequently represents corporations, financial institutions, and individuals in high-profile securities disputes.  He was recently named a “Rising Star” in securities litigation by Law360 and is recognized by The Legal 500 for his work in M&A litigation matters.

Craig serves as the Secretary of the Second Circuit Committee on Admissions and Grievances.

Craig received his J.D., cum laude, from Cornell Law School in 2004 and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Tufts University in 2001. He completed a clerkship with the Hon. Richard M. Berman in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. He is admitted to practice in New York.
