Craig Brown is a pioneer in the contract attorney industry, having been at the forefront of the industry since its inception, including developing industrywide "best practices." In 1998, he founded Elaine P. Dine Temporary Attorneys & Paralegals and served as its President for 10 years. In 2008, he and his staff formed Strategic E-Sourcing, which operated within the Strategic Legal Solutions family of companies.  In 2010, Mr. Brown and his staff formed B3 Legal to specialize in legal contract placements and the provision of e-discovery advice.

Prior to joining the staffing industry in 1998, Mr. Brown was a practicing attorney.  After graduating from SUNY Albany in '81, Mr. Brown attended the Washington College of Law, American University, from which he graduated in '84. After positions in the federal government (Department of Justice and Department of Labor), Mr. Brown joined the New York office of Kaye Scholer, where he specialized in litigation and antitrust. Thereafter, in 1990, he joined the midsized firm of McLaughlin & Stern, where he became a litigation partner.

Mr. Brown's publications include Contract Attorneys: How a Small Firm Can Reap Huge Benefits, New York State Bar Association Journal; Outsourcing and the Use of Contract Attorneys, Chapter 5 of International Corporate Practice, PLI; and Best Practices in E-Discovery in New York State and Federal Courts, New York State Bar Association Journal (co-author). 

Mr. Brown has also chaired and served as a panelist many times, including on Managing the Costs of E-Discovery, How Small Firms Can Increase Their Profitability, and the 2011 and 2012 Career Development Programs. These programs were all sponsored by the New York State Bar Association. 

Mr. Brown is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the DC Bar Association. He serves on various committees of these associations, including the Law Practice Management Committee and the E-Discovery Committee.
