Courtney Sachtleben is a Professional Accounting Fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Ms. Sachtleben focuses primarily on the following accounting matters: Business Combinations, Consolidation, Revenue Recognition, Long-lived Assets, Income Taxes, and Contingencies. These responsibilities include following the activities of various professional accounting standard setting bodies both within the United States and internationally, consulting with registrants on accounting and reporting matters, and participating in the development of the Commission’s and other standard setting bodies’ rule proposals.

Prior to joining the Commission in 2014, Ms. Sachtleben was a Senior Manager with Deloitte & Touche, LLP in New York. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters of Accountancy from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Ms. Sachtleben is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and Georgia.
