Corey D. Boddie is the founding partner of Boddie & Associates, P.C. with office in New York City and Atlanta. Corey is an entertainment attorney specializing in the areas of music, fashion, film, television, breach of contract and copyright/trademark litigation. The law firm specializes in Immigration, Entertainment and Corporate Financial Law.

Corey also specializes in entertainment investing. He has consulted several hedge funds, along with venture capitalists, financial institutions and private investors. His business strategies, as well as his longstanding relationships with directors, producers, executives, movie, video and music distributors have been proven to be very lucrative to his clients.

As an expert on legal issues and business success methods, Corey provides value to his clients by offering timely news and research in movie, television and music related investments, and leveraging his extensive network of entertainment assets and strategic relationships across the entertainment industry.

The highlights of his legal career include his 2001 appointment to the General Counsel for the Manhattan Short Film Festival-considered to be one of the largest short film festivals in the world. In 2003, Corey was profiled on “Celebrity Justice” and “Entertainment Tonight” with regards to a highly publicized multimillion-dollar copyright/trademark infringement case against the “Osbourne Family” and Sony Music Entertainment. In 2006, he was apart of the legal team regarding copyright infringement against Beyonce Knowles. In 2007, he was represented “Ginuwine” in a multimillion dollar breach of contract case profiled by AP. In 2010 and 2011, Corey also appeared on the hit reality TV Show “Basketball Wives”. In addition, Corey has been a panelist on a number of entertainment education conferences as a specialist in the field of entertainment law.

His client roster includes: Oscar-nominated director Josh Raskin, Third-Eye Filmworks, LLC/Dick Clark Productions, Rhino Music/Warner Music Group; Jermaine Dupri’s film company Visionary Media, LLC, Jennifer Williams and Suzie Ketcham from “Basketball Wives”, the LUCID COSMETICS brand, and many other stars and companies in the entertainment world. Mr. Boddie was appointed as General Counsel to the Manhattan Short Film Festival, one of the largest short film festivals in the world.

Corey is frequent speaker at media and entertainment industry events, including the Florida Music Festival & Conference (2006-2008); Texas Summer Music Conference (2005, 2006); Winter Music Conference (2008, 2009), Producers Conference (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007) and Hedge Fund World Asia Managers Showcase in Singapore (2008, 2010).

Corey is a member of a number of organizations including: Board Member of The Global Syndicate, The Council of Urban Professionals, The Entertainment Law Committee of the New York Bar Association-Board Member, The Entertainment and Sports Law Forum of the American Bar Association-Officer, and the Recording Academy (Grammy Organization).
