Chul Park is an Assistant Director in the Division of Trading and Markets and heads the Office of Quantitative Risk Analysis (OQRA) within the Office of Broker-Dealer Finance.  OQRA is responsible for reviewing the statistical and mathematical models used by large broker-dealers and clearing agencies for regulatory capital and margin.  Before joining the SEC in 2011, he held various financial, research and market risk positions at the CFTC for over 13 years and has taught graduate finance courses at Johns Hopkins University.  He has a Ph.D. and M.A. in economics from Georgetown University and a B.A. in mathematics and economics from New York University.  He is a CFA charterholder and a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
