CHRISTINE LEE is Senior Director & Associate General Counsel, International Trade Compliance for United Technologies Corporation (UTC) in Washington, DC. UTC provides a broad range of high-technology products and services to the global aerospace and building systems industries and is best known through its industry-leading companies – Pratt & Whitney; UTC Aerospace Systems; Otis; and UTC Climate, Controls & Security. Ms. Lee is responsible for the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures. She provides strategic oversight of trade compliance investigations and disclosures and guidance on U.S. export controls, sanctions and antiboycott laws. She previously served as an attorney at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where she counseled on export control laws, undercover operations, cyber crimes, and customs enforcement authorities. Prior to that, Ms. Lee was with the U.S. Department of Commerce, where she advised the Bureau of Industry and Security on export enforcement, regulatory and licensing matters, and handled civil prosecutions of export violations. Ms. Lee is a graduate of Tufts University and received her law degree from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.
