Chris Kloes is Legal Director of Global Trade for Hewlett-Packard, Inc. ("HP") based in Palo Alto, California. She is a seasoned international-trade lawyer with comprehensive global experience in import, export, and anti-corruption law. She is responsible for providing legal support on HP's global trade issues around the world including Customs matters, export controls, and anti-boycott. 

Prior to HP, Chris was Senior Counsel at Dell Inc. where she had responsibility for all global trade and anti-corruption matters, as well as substantive legal accountability for logistics, supply chain, and manufacturing. 

Chris began her legal career at Baker Botts in Austin, Texas where she specialized in corporate compliance and international trade law.  Prior to going in house, Chris also practiced law at Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich. While in private practice, Chris advised a number of technology companies as well as counseling companies in more traditional industries such as defense and oil and gas.

Chris earned her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law where she graduated with honors and was awarded the Order of the Coif.  She completed her undergraduate degree in Government with a minor in Italian at the University of Texas in Austin.
