Charlotte Buford has been an Assistant Chief Counsel of the Division of Enforcement of the Securities and Exchange Commission since June 2000.  Ms. Buford leads the Office of Chief Counsel’s Regulated Entities and Insider Trading group, where she provides technical and policy guidance to Enforcement staff nationwide.  Prior to joining the Division of Enforcement in 1998, Ms. Buford served in the Commission’s Office of Municipal Securities, and in private practice in Cleveland, Ohio.  Ms. Buford is a 1992 graduate of the Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
