Caroline Kinsey serves as General Counsel to “As Seen on TV” giant Ontel Products Corporation. In this capacity, she is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the corporation’s extensive global intellectual property portfolio, guiding members of the Ontel executive team on legal implications of day-to-day decisions, reviewing and approving marketing collateral to ensure FTC compliance, and partnering with the corporation’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer to respond to vendor Chapter 11 debt restructurings and personal injury matters.

Caroline has a B.S. in advertising, a J.D. with an emphasis on criminal law and litigation, an LL.M. in intellectual property and communications law, and a M.S. in public relations and corporate communication. She has published nationally and internationally in the realms of intellectual property, family and entertainment law with journals that include the University of Virginia and the University of California schools of law. Her most recent publication with New York University, entitled “Endorse Re-#Sponsibly,” combines her passion for public relations with her legal expertise by introducing four empirical research studies undertaken to explore the impact of emerging FTC regulations on the overall success of sponsored social media campaigns.

Caroline is licensed to practice law in Michigan, New York, New Jersey and Washington D.C. and prides herself on her ability to creatively help clients maximize, monetize and capitalize on intellectual property rights in the digital realm. Her practice interests include corporate finance, intellectual property, entertainment law, ethics and contract development.

In her spare time she enjoys watching Pittsburgh Steeler football, taking her dog Pax to Central Park and spending time with her family.
