Bruce A. Friedman is a partner in the law firm of Alschuler Grossman Stein & Kahan LLP and is co-chair of the firm’s litigation department. Mr. Friedman has practiced in the area of insurance coverage and bad faith for over twenty years. He has lectured on insurance coverage and bad faith topics to the California Judges Association, the American Bar Association, the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, the USC Insurance and Bad Faith Seminar, the Stanford University Law School Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith Seminar, and other bar associations. Mr. Friedman has also written numerous articles on the subject of insurance. In 1994, Mr. Friedman served as President of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers and has been a member of its Board of Governors since 1986. He is also a member of the ABA Litigation Section and TIPS Section and Committees on Insurance Coverage, Professional Liability, Directors and Officers Liability, and Fidelity and Surety law within those sections. In 1996, Mr. Friedman had one of the top ten plaintiff’s verdicts in California in a case against Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company arising out of a claim for damage to art suffered during the Northridge earthquake.
