Brook Cunningham is a Managing Director in Lazard’s Global Agribusiness and Nutrition and Midwest Advisory practices in Chicago.

Ms. Cunningham joined Lazard in New York in 2010, and subsequently moved to Chicago in 2012 to play a central role in growing the Firm’s Midwest investment banking business, where she now leads the Firm’s agribusiness and nutrition efforts, globally.

Ms. Cunningham advises companies on matters involving corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, business separations, sales, strategic investments, capital structure and shareholder activism, among other topics. Her primary area of focus is companies across the agribusiness and nutrition value chain—including crop inputs, retail distribution, grain trading and processing, food ingredients, animal nutrition and food and agriculture technology—while she also advises selected other Midwest companies in the context of mergers and acquisitions and shareholder situations.

Prior to joining Lazard, Ms. Cunningham worked in Lehman Brothers’ (and subsequently Barclays Capital’s) M&A Group in New York. Previously, she worked at Marsh & McLennan, where she advised middle market and large-cap industrial, consumer and university clients on risk management issues.

Ms. Cunningham speaks at events and authors articles as a strategic thought leader in the global agribusiness and nutrition industry. She also serves on the Steering Committee for The Women in M&A Network’s Chicago chapter as well as the Career Advisory Board at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

Ms. Cunningham received a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan and a MBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
