Voya Financial, Inc.

Bridget M. Healy is the executive vice president and chief legal officer for Voya Financial, Inc. In this role, Bridget oversees the law, compliance, regulatory and government affairs functions for Voya and serves as a member of the Voya Executive Committee. Prior to Voya’s initial public offering, Bridget was the Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer for ING U.S. and ING Americas, respectively, and served as the lead lawyer in preparing Voya for its separation from ING Group and its May 2013 IPO.

Before joining ING Americas, Bridget served as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for Becton Dickinson and Company and as senior vice president and group general counsel at The Travelers Companies, Inc. Bridget also practiced law in the United States and Europe for nine years with Davis Polk & Wardwell and was a partner in the firm of Stroock & Stroock & Lavan. Bridget’s experience includes the build and development of high-performing legal, compliance and government relations functions, counseling boards on corporate governance issues and representing corporations, financial advisors and major shareholder groups in connection with domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financings, initial public offerings and joint ventures.

Bridget received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, magna cum laude, and is a graduate of Brown University, with an honors degree in International Relations and French Studies.

In 2010, Bridget was recognized by Legal Momentum, the nation’s oldest nonprofit fund dedicated to advancing the economic and personal security for women, with their “Aiming High” award and by the National Organization for Women with a Women of Power and Influence award. Bridget also was recognized in 2013 by the New York Legal Assistance Group with a Corporate Leadership award.

Bridget is a member of the Board of Directors of the New York Legal Assistance Group and since 2014 also serves as Chairman of its Finance Committee. Bridget also is a past Chairman and current member of the Board of Directors of the Life Insurance Council of New York (LICONY), the principal voice of the life insurance industry in New York.
