Beth Peters is a partner in the international law firm of Hogan Lovells US LLP and Co-Director of the firm’s International Trade Group and has been in practice for over 25 years.  Recognized by Chambers and Legal 500, Ms. Peters advises clients on a variety of international trade matters, including export control laws, sanctions laws, customs laws, and the USA Patriot Act.  Ms. Peters assists universities and companies in numerous industries in complying with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR), including complicated compliance, licensing, deemed export and enforcement matters.  She also counsels universities and companies on compliance with the anti-money laundering provisions of the USA Patriot Act and the applicability of the Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions regulations to specific transactions.  She holds a J.D. from Columbia University and a B.A. from Duke University.
