Avi E. Luft is counsel based in the New York office.

Mr. Luft's practice focuses on litigation and arbitration. Mr. Luft has litigated securities class actions, domestic and international disputes over commercial agreements, and disputes involving mergers and acquisitions, securities, auditing negligence and fraud, bankruptcy, and patents and intellectual property. In addition, Mr. Luft has represented multiple clients through amicus briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court and represented clients before regulatory agencies for issues involving accounting and auditing fraud.

Mr. Luft joined the firm in 2004 and became counsel in 2008. He received his J.D. degree from New York University School of Law in 1999, where he was a McKay Scholar, and an undergraduate degree with honors from Oberlin College in 1995. Mr. Luft practiced law from 1999 to 2004 at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP.

Mr. Luft is a member of the Bar of New York and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second and Ninth Circuits, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Mr. Luft is an instructor for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and a member of the Litigation Committee of the New York City Bar Association.
