Audra recently joined McGladrey where she now serves as the West Region Expatriate Tax Leader.

Audra has over 15 years of expatriate tax experience in advising multinational companies as well as high net wealth expatriates on global mobility related issues including expatriate taxation compliance, Pre-arrival US tax planning, global payroll, equity compensation and program administration. She began her career with Arthur Andersen’s expatriate tax practice in Tokyo, Japan. She later worked for EY-Tokyo, PWC-San Jose and KPMG Amsterdam. Being an expat herself has allowed her to understand and more easily explain global mobility issues from both the expatriate assignee and tax specialist side.

Audra advises clients in all aspects of expatriate taxation, including:

  • Guiding clients through global mobility challenges by understanding their needs and bringing the right people to address them;
  • Thinking outside of the box to help companies and assignees obtain their desired outcome;
  • Bringing cultural gaps while providing a personalized and tailored approach;
  • Proactive planning that allows companies to keep the tax side simple and straightforward;

She received her Masters of Tax degree from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, CA and her BA degree in East Asian Studies from Indiana University-Bloomington. She is an EA and a member of the AICPA.

In her free time, Audra enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, kayaking, basketball and golf. She also likes to travel.
