Askari Foy is the Associate Director of the Technology Controls Program (TCP) in the Office of Compliance Inspection and Examinations (OCIE). TCP is the center of excellence for the Securities and Exchange Commission to oversee the technology infrastructure of the securities markets. TCP conducts information security examinations of national securities exchanges, registered clearing agencies, and automated trading systems; monitors technology events in the securities markets; and provides information security support to other examination programs in OCIE.

Mr. Foy has 23 years of financial, operations, audit, risk management, compliance, and consulting experience in the investment management, capital markets, and banking industries. Prior to his current role, Mr. Foy served as the Associate Regional Director of the SEC Atlanta Regional Office's examination program. Mr. Foy also served as an Assistant Regional Director and a Branch Chief in the examination program. Prior to his employment with the SEC, Mr. Foy worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he held numerous positions, including as a Manager leading audits and consulting engagements in the investment management, capital markets, and banking practices. Before PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr. Foy worked at Credit Suisse where he held numerous positions, including as a Manager with specialization in fund and portfolio administration, and front, middle and back office securities operations.

Mr. Foy has a diverse leadership background from the private sector and within the SEC. Mr. Foy uses his strong business acumen, executive leadership experience, and strategic management skills  to lead change, empower people, build alliances, and develop business and risk-based strategies to optimize production, which all resulted in him receiving the SEC's Excellence in Leadership Award. He was also influential to the SEC Atlanta Regional Office by developing and implementing a Surveillance Monitoring and Risk Program. As a Senior Officer, Mr. Foy served as the Sponsor of OCIE's Specialized Valuation Working Group, a member of the Cybersecurity Working Group, and the Co-Chair of the Risk and Exam Process Steering Committee.

Mr. Foy has a Master of Business Administration degree from Emory University, Goizueta Business School, Executive MBA Pr.ogram, a B.S. degree in Accounting, and is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
