Arthur Howe is a partner with Schopf & Weiss LLP in Chicago, Illinois and practices exclusively in complex business litigation. He has successfully tried to verdict cases ranging from an antitrust action alleging a nationwide price-fixing conspiracy to a multi-million dollar financial fraud/RICO action. Mr. Howe is a member of the Seventh Circuit Electronic Discovery Committee and has spoken at national and international programs on e-discovery.

Mr. Howe is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, an honorary association of lawyers, judges, and scholars whose careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of their communities and to the highest principles of the legal profession. In 2009, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and Chicago chapter of the Federal Bar Association presented him with their Award for Excellence in Pro Bono and Public Service. His peers have selected him for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, and the Leading Lawyers Network as one of the top attorneys in Illinois in business litigation.

Mr. Howe is an alumnus of Wabash College where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, with Distinction in Economics and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa in 1982. He graduated from Duke Law School with highest honors and was elected to the Order of the Coif in 1985. He studied Economic History at The London School of Economics in 1980-81.

Mr. Howe serves on the Board of Directors of Young Chicago Authors, which transforms the lives of young people by cultivating their voices through writing, publication, and performance education and which won the Presidential Coming Up Taller Award for being one of the best youth programs in the nation. He is a member of Springboard Foundation, which funds grassroots after-school programs in Chicago's neediest neighborhoods.
