Antonia M. Apps is a partner in the New York office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP specializing in white collar crime, securities enforcement, internal investigations and complex civil ligation, and representing financial institutions, issuers, and hedge funds.  She also teaches a class at Harvard Law School on white collar criminal law and procedure and is a frequent speaker at white collar and securities enforcement programs.  Prior to joining Milbank, Antonia served as an Assistant U. S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York, where she led many of the government’s highest-profile insider trading cases, including the prosecution of S.A.C. Capital Advisors.  She was the lead prosecutor at trial and on appeal in United States v. Newman and prosecuted numerous individuals connected to expert networking firms.  Lawdragon named Antonia in its 2015 and 2016 list of 500 Leading Lawyers in America, and she has been recognized by Chambers USA and by Legal 500 for White Collar Criminal Defense and Securities Litigation.  Prior to joining the United States Attorney’s Office, Antonia was a partner in the Washington, D.C., law firm Kellogg, Huber, Hansen, Todd, Evans & Figel and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Fred I. Parker of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.  She is a graduate of Harvard Law School, Oxford University and Sydney University Law School.
