Ann M. McCrackin is a registered patent attorney and Of Counsel at Schwegman. Ann was a Professor at Franklin Pierce Law Center where she taught patent prosecution courses. Ann’s practice focuses on US and international patent protection for computer hardware, software, and business methods. Ann also specializes in post-grant proceedings practice and patent analytics. Ann is a member of the Practising Law Institute faculty for the annual Advanced Patent Prosecution Workshop. Ann is a co-editor and contributing author for Electronic and Software Patents: Law and Practice, a treatise published by BNA Books. She is frequently invited to speak on various patent prosecution topics such as: “The Labcorp Dissent and the Federal Circuit Patent Eligibility Decisions” (American Intellectual Property Law Association Annual Meeting); “Patent Basics” (University of Minnesota Super CLE week); “Advanced Patent Prosecution: International Practice Tips” (Iowa Intellectual Property Law Association); “37 C.F.R. §1.105 Requirement for Information” (Minnesota Intellectual Property Law Association); “Claim Strategies for Nanotechnology” (American Intellectual Property Law Association Annual Meeting); “Introduction to Bioinformatics” (Association of University Technology Managers); and “Foreign Filing Basics” (Association of University Technology Managers).
