Andy Burgess

Director, China Programs

Andrew G. Burgess (Andy) has 15 years of international chemical control legislation and regulatory affairs experience. He has extensive experience in chemical registration activities with emphasis in Europe and China.

Mr. Burgess’ many accomplishments include, but are not limited to, development of chemical registration strategy, preparation of dossier and chemical safety assessments; and post-submission technical and advocacy support with regulators and others. Mr. Burgess also assists clients in the development and implementation of site compliance strategies. He has participated in and provided oversight to support the successful submission of more than 700 international substance registration dossiers and has directly prepared over 100 substance submissions.

Prior to joining Acta-PLS China, Ltd, Mr. Burgess managed and ran a team of 30 regulatory and project management professionals located in Europe and China. He has been deeply engaged in China chemical registration and support activities for the last six years and has gained unique insights and knowledge of the legislation and its practical implications for businesses. He has hosted and/or participated in seminar tours for Chinese government officials from the Chemical Registration Center - Ministry of Environmental Protection (CRC-MEP) around the United States and Europe.
