Andrew Huang has been an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of California since 2007 and works out of the Oakland Branch.  He investigates and prosecutes a wide variety of federal criminal matters including civil rights, white collar, violent crimes, tax, and public corruption offenses.  He also served as the Office's Human Trafficking Coordinator until 2011.  From 2000 through 2004, Andy was a federal prosecutor with the Criminal Section of the Civil Rights Division, U.S. Department of Justice where he investigated and prosecuted human trafficking, color of law, and hate crime cases.  He has also prosecuted cases with the Sex Offense and Domestic Violence Unit of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia and the Antitrust Division, U.S. Department of Justice. Andy received his bachelors and law degrees from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master in Public Policy degree from the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.  Following law school, he clerked for a federal judge in Birmingham, Alabama.
