Andrea Alegrett is an Assistant Attorney General for the Consumer Protection Division of the Washington State Attorney General’s Office. She leads the office’s High Tech Unit, where her cases include investigations into online privacy, tech support scams, ticket bots, data breaches, and business opportunity scams. In addition, Ms. Alegrett has filed various consumer protection lawsuits, including State v. iYogi, Inc., State v. Matthew Hickey, and State v. Johnson & Johnson. Prior to joining the Attorney General’s office, Ms. Alegrett worked as a litigation associate at McDermott Will & Emery LLP based out of the firm’s New York City and Washington, D.C. offices. Ms. Alegrett is a graduate of Purdue University and Georgetown University Law Center.
