Allison George is Associate General Counsel of the United States Office of Government Ethics (OGE).  OGE’s mission is to prevent and resolve conflicts of interest in the Executive Branch and promote public confidence that the Government's business is conducted with impartiality and integrity.  In addition to serving as OGE’s own ethics and compliance officer, Ms. George plays a key role in other OGE responsibilities including financial disclosure, advice, training, and outreach.  While at OGE, Ms. George has also served in several special assignments, including two tours of duty in the White House Counsel’s Office and in the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

Prior to joining OGE, Ms. George was Senior Counsel in the Washington, D.C. office of Foley & Lardner, where she counseled multi-national corporations and organizations on foreign business practices, anti-corruption initiatives, and campaign finance, lobbying and ethics laws.  Ms. George specialized in developing and implementing global corporate compliance programs, as well as in conducting substantial internal investigations concerning alleged violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, improper payments, kickbacks, fraud and corruption.  She has also represented clients in Congressional investigations and in civil and criminal Federal enforcement actions.

Ms. George received her B.A. from Yale University and her J.D. from the Duke University School of Law where she served as a member of the Duke Law Journal.
