Alex Reynolds is Director, Regulatory Affairs at the Consumer Technology Association, whose members cumulatively generate more than $285 billion in annual factory sales and employ tens of thousands of people. Alex’s practice focuses on the consumer Internet of Things, particularly telecommunications, privacy, health, and drone regulatory policies. He regularly educates member companies about the legal and policy challenges they face as their products become increasingly versatile, embedded, and integrated devices. Prior to CTA, Alex advised member companies at PCIA – The Wireless Infrastructure Association on communications tower siting deployment. During law school, Alex held internships at Google, the House of Representatives’ Communications and Technology subcommittee, and two positions at the Federal Communications Commission. He holds a degree in Media Studies from the University of Virginia and a J.D., with a concentration in telecommunications regulatory law, from the Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law. Alex is a member of the Federal Communications Bar Association and is an IAPP-certified privacy professional, CIPP/US.
