Agustin R. Montilla IV is a senior partner in the Mergers, Acquisitions & Capital Markets practice of Romulo.  A market such as the Philippines often involves unexpected challenges and may require compliance with incongruent requirements. He has been finding solutions to complex deals for clients across financial institutions, private equity clients and corporates for two decades. Recent deals have included the joint venture between Globe Telecom, Inc. and Alipay, the US$1.3 billion acquisition by GIC/MIRA of Energy Development Corporation and the Ayala’s US$400M Fixed-for-Life Perpetual Bond that was named Philippine Capital Market Deal for 2017.

Mr. Montilla serves on the board of Lex Mundi and of non-profit organizations that focus on education and the care of those affected by cancer.
