Adam’s responsibilities include directing Domini’s shareholder advocacy department, where for nearly twenty years he has led numerous dialogues with corporations on a wide range of social, environmental and governance issues. He manages Domini’s public policy work and is a spokesperson for the firm.

Adam served on the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Investor Advisory Committee, created by the Dodd-Frank Act (2012-2016), and on the SEC’s inaugural Investor Advisory Committee (2009-2010). He is a founder and current board member of the Global Network Initiative, a multi-stakeholder non-profit organization addressing threats to freedom of expression and privacy rights on the Internet and other communication technologies. He also serves on the public policy committee of US SIF: The Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment, and the Human Rights Advisory Committee of the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility. He advised on the development of a corporate reporting framework consistent with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights as a member of that project’s Eminent Persons Group. In 2008, he was named to the Directorship 100, Directorship magazine’s listing of the most influential people on corporate governance and in the boardroom. He is a frequent speaker and commentator on responsible investing and corporate accountability.

Prior to joining Domini in 1998, Adam was a litigator for four and a half years with the firm of Cahill Gordon & Reindel in New York City.

He holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.
