Overview

PLI’s 2019 Commercial Real Estate Institute will bring together many of the country’s most sought-after legal experts in commercial real estate. Participants will broaden their understanding of the multi-faceted commercial real estate field and sharpen their legal skills while networking with industry heavyweights. You will hear first-hand where the real estate market stands and where it is expected to go while gaining a fresh look at mortgage financing and commercial leasing. You will be prepared to advise your client on the latest in real estate such as Opportunity Zone investments or blockchain technology purchases!  Then, because real estate clients are increasing their use of joint ventures, their legal counsel will need to know how best to use these vehicles and how to navigate around potential contractual minefields.  Thus, this program will take attendees through the duties, conflicts, pros, and cons of joint ventures in real estate.  The environmental law faculty will discuss regulation changes ushered in by the current administration that impact real estate development, insurance, and disclosure requirements on federal and state levels.  Finally, before you close that deal, learn how to spot the litigation-prone areas. This 2-day event is the definitive survey program for real estate professionals.
